Tyler Adams helped Bournemouth complete a 3-1 comeback at Sparta Prague. The win made it seven in a row and, he said, reflected a more mature side.

Tyler Adams scored as Bournemouth came from behind to beat Sparta Prague 3-1 in the Europa League, extending the club’s winning run to seven matches. The United States midfielder said the side had “turned a page” and become more mature in how it defended and worked without the ball.

A comeback built from the bench

Sparta took the lead through Ebrima Singhateh, but the game shifted after Tobias Guddal was sent off in the first half. Bournemouth increased the pressure after the break. Adams, Evanilson and Rayan — all introduced as substitutes — scored to complete the turnaround.

Adams’ goal was his first in a major European competition since scoring for RB Leipzig against Atlético Madrid in 2020. He had appeared in 20 such matches without scoring in between, making the finish a personal milestone as well as a turning point in the game.

Adams points to a change in mentality

Adams said a winning standard can become contagious when a team keeps producing results every few days. He also referenced Bournemouth’s 5-1 defeat to Chelsea, saying the loss still stung and had sharpened the group’s focus.

The run is historic for Bournemouth

The seven-match sequence is Bournemouth’s longest winning run in all competitions since November 2014, when the club was in the second tier. The Cherries also remained unbeaten in the Europa League after four league-phase fixtures and moved into the upper part of the standings.

A long streak brings attention and expectation, but Adams warned against comfort. Bournemouth’s next task is to keep the defensive discipline and collective work that he believes have changed since the Chelsea defeat. The win in Prague offered evidence of resilience; the run will be judged by what comes next.
